I recall hearing about a funny news story last week. While attempting to chase a fly with an electric swat, a man in France accidentally blew up part of his house. A reaction occurred between the swat and his home's leaking gas, resulting in an explosion and the destruction of a portion of his kitchen. The blast also caused damage to a section of his roof, rendering the home uninhabitable. The man escaped with only a burn on his hand. What made this story newsworthy was that it had never happened before - a coincidentally strange but highly dangerous incident resulting from an ordinary, daily practice with a surprising ending.
